OPUS in game cinematic Trailer

Within an artificial body, lies a will to live.

I am excited to announce OPUS! A real time cinematic trailer by Passion Republic. It all started with a short story we had in our minds and thus we decided to make a trailer from there. I joined the project mid way in the pre-production stage, so from there i was tasked to design every assets or environment scenes required for the trailer.
There's two character to be designed in this trailer, one is the bio Engineer and the other is the robot. The robot was almost done when i joined the project but the bio-engineer is far from finish. We were trying to make him a worn out, gave up on life, used to do sports but not anymore kind of look. These directions are all tie in with the story we developed. We wanted to 3d scan our teammate's face at first but time is not on our side so we decided to sculpt it in the end.
Nevertheless it was fun to take photos of my teammate and comp them on top of the concept.
